Approved for adoption #2

Our family is growing......we were finally approved for a second adoption!  We are all so excited!  This is going to be an exciting and nerve racking time as we wait for a birth mother to choose us, & or a little baby comes to our family!  Please share share share this blog and get the word out there that the Chamberlains are ready for a sweet spirit to come to our home! I have updated our Birth Parent Letter & and hope to soon update All About Emma and add a new All About Darren!

ok, I promise the Story of how our son came to our family this past week!    On Tuesday late afternoon, after a fun afternoon of ladies for lunch, Spencer got a phone call, at work, from LDS family services manager, Doug.  He wanted to conference call Spencer and me together to talk to us right away!  so they conferenced me in!  The day before, Monday the 25th of march, a baby boy was born in Downtown Detroit.  He birth mother was looking for a family to adopt him.  Doug listed of a number of this right...baby boy is healthy with good scores.  He was 6lbs.3oz. 18 inches long.  He was a good and healthy looking boy!  but, his birth mother was high on cocaine when she came into the hospital.  She admitted to using cocaine, heroine and marijuana and smoking cigarettes all through her pregnancy. The birth mother is also positive for Hep C.  The baby boy was born addicted to those drugs and he needs to stay in the hospital for a few weeks on morphine so that they can ween him slowly off

About Spencer & Kristen

       Both were born and raised in Utah.  Spencer is the youngest of 5 children.  He went on a LDS Mission to Argentina.  While he was there, his parents moved into the same stake as Kristen. Kristen is 3rd of 8 children.  She and Spencer met in a Single Ward of the LDS Church, in Utah, April 2005.  We started out as friends. doing things together with other friends and church activities. We started Dating in August 2005.  We dated for 10 months and we were engaged April.  Married in the Provo, Utah LDS Temple, June 2006.  We have now been married for 6 years!          Spencer , like I stated before, is the youngest of 5 children and 29 yrs old.  He has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  All are married with children of thier own and all living in Utah Valley area.  His parents are also in Utah.  Spencer's siblings are all very welcoming and kind.  They all have big hearts and so much fun!  They all have very different careers and hobbies, from Childrens Dentist, Accountant, Stay at

All About EMMA!!!

     Emma Nicole.......Emma was born on August 21st!  She is 10 and starting 5th grade this coming school year. She is so sweet and so loving.  The day she was born she had stole her mommy's heart and wrapped her daddy around her finger!  She loves to be outside.  She is on a YMCA swim team and is amazing!  She loves to listen to music, dance with her brother, play board games.  She loves her two little hamsters, Cinnamon and Nutmeg. She is a very good caretaker to them, and extremely responsible.      She absolutely loves all animals!  We go to the zoo so often, I thought she would get tired of it, but that is never the case.  She loves all animals, from exotic to pets. She really would love a puppy!  We love to go to the farm to hold baby sheep, chicks etc...      We love to go on family trips from Church History sites, cross country trips to see family, hiking & caming, cooking & baking.  So many things!       Emma loves to Cook and bake with me.  When I have
